What is an embedded graphic and should I use them?
An embedded graphic is just what it says, a graphic that is embedded in the file, not linked. When you embed a graphic, it becomes an orphan, it is a non-separable part of your file. We cannot open this type of graphic as a file and therefore cannot make any changes or corrections that may be required. If possible, you should link all graphics to the original file, not embed them. Unfortunatally, not all programs allow you to link graphics. If you can not or choose not to link your graphics, please also include with your files the original graphic files. This will allow us to make any conversions or manipulations that may be wanted or required (i.e. color separation, resizing). Also note that embeded color graphics will result in additional problems and costs if the file is not being printed in full color.
